Temple Initiation Retreat in Egypt
This 12-day journey at the end of November invites you to step deep into the mystical energy of ancient Egypt, where ancient temples serve as powerful activation gateways to hidden consciousness.
The Temple Initiation Retreat in Egypt invites you to enter deeply into the mystical flow of the ancient land, where the temples function as living initiation portals. Within these sacred spaces, deeply stored soul parts are awakened, you recall ancient knowledge that lay dormant within your system, and you are guided. by Brian & Esther, in a next cycle of transformation, from within.
During this journey, the temples function as mirrors and catalysts. They activate your divine essence, open the door to hidden layers of consciousness, and support you in letting go of what no longer fits your path. And we guide you in this process. You move from mind to embodiment, from fragmentation to inner union, from remembering to living.
This is a retreat for those who are ready to be initiated into the field of consciousness, light and ancient wisdom and to then carry that light.

About this retreat journey in Ancient Egypt
This retreat isn't simply a tourist trip through ancient temples. It's truly an initiation into yourself. The temples we enter are living portals: they open layers of consciousness, reflect both our pain and our potential, and awaken precisely that within us that is ready to be seen, liberated, and embodied. By entering these places with intention, ritual, and presence, we reveal not only their mysteries, but especially those of our own souls.
We work with daily initiation moments that prepare your field for what you will receive in the temples. The temples speak to each person on their own level and offer personal direction and insight. Through meditation, breathwork, activations, temple assignments, and sharings, we deepen the process of transformation and integration together. Before each temple visit, you will receive rituals, instructions, or inner tasks. Sometimes individually, sometimes collectively. Always attuned to the energy of the moment and the movement of your path.

What makes this retreat journey unique?
- Deep Mystical Activations: Each temple activates specific aspects of your consciousness and soul mission.

Impression of the temples and places we visit
Each temple opens up a different field..
Each temple opens a different field, a different memory, a different layer of our soul. What we see as walls and pillars is essentially a mechanism of consciousness: a design to open, to activate, to strip, to remember, to awaken. In each portal, you are not only received, but also read, measured by the intelligence of the place, and addressed according to what is ready to shift within you. These are the temples we will experience:
Hatshepsut – Deir el-Bahri
The Terrace Temple of Queen Hatshepsut is one of the most unique structures of ancient Egypt, carved into the rock face in the Valley of the Kings. Hatshepsut was one of the few female pharaohs to reign as king; her temple tells her story of legitimacy, divine descent, and the worship of Amun-Ra. Its elevated position and symmetrical architecture give this place an exceptional sense of sacredness, tranquility, and order.
Luxor Temple & Seti I Mortuary Temple
Luxor Temple was dedicated to the renewal of kingship and the annual Opet procession in which Amun, Mut, and Khonsu were ceremonially united. This temple is strongly associated with the incarnation of divine kingship on earth. The mortuary temple of Seti I (West Bank Luxor) is among the most elaborate temples of the Ramesside period and displays sacrificial scenes, genealogy, and an emphasis on the continuation of the royal line in the afterlife.
Karnak & Mut Temple
The Karnak complex is the largest religious temple complex in the world and the ceremonial heart of Thebes. The hypostyle hall, the processional ways, and the numerous shrines demonstrate the evolution of 2,000 years of priesthood and power. On the south side lies the Mut precinct, dedicated to the cosmic mother goddess Mut, where rituals surrounding birth, protection, and the divine legitimization of the pharaoh took place.
Hathor Temple of Dendera
Dendera is one of the best-preserved temples, dedicated to Hathor—the goddess of love, music, beauty, and joy. The colonnade with celestial ceilings reveals astronomical knowledge and star mythology. Dendera was a center for healing, ritual sound, and festivities in which the goddess's joy was seen as a spiritual force.
Come Ombo
Kom Ombo is a double temple, dedicated to Sobek (crocodile god, water, and creation) and Horus the Elder (order, protection, and justice). Its symmetrical structure reflects the duality of creation and protection, shore and stream, instinct and order. The adjacent crocodile museum illustrates Sobek's ritual role in the Nile ecosystem.
Philae – Temple of Isis
Philae, relocated after the construction of the Aswan High Dam, was the last active sanctuary of Egyptian religion before Christianity closed it. Here, Isis was the center of mystery cults, resurrection, and magical protection. Philae was seen as an island of initiation and transition between worlds.
Khnum – Elephantine
On Elephantine Island stood the temple of Khnum, the ram god of the potter's wheel who, according to myth, formed humankind from clay and water. Elephantine was the place where the source of the Nile was ritually "guarded," and where nilometers determined the fate of agriculture, harvests, and the calendar. It was a spiritual and economic hub of Upper Egypt.
Abydos – Temple of Seti I
Abydos was the center of the Osiris cult: a place of death, resurrection, and eternal kingship. Remove blockages and connect with natural forces (Neters). Although Osiris is the main deity of this temple, the entire complex unites gods and goddesses for optimal healing. We will spend several days here to fully absorb the depths of the seven main chambers. This is a playground for getting to know yourself through interaction with different energies. Other "false door" chambers are dedicated to Horus, Isis, Osiris, Amun-Ra, Re-Horakhty, Ptah, and Seti I/Thoth.

Testimonial Sanne about the Mystical Egypt Journey
Review: An inspired journey with Brian Van Leeuwen and Esther Geskus
I was allowed to participate in a retreat in Egypt under the guidance of Brian and Esther and it was more than transformation. What they offer is truly unique. Not just a journey along ancient temples to create a different inner feeling, but a mystical exploration of inner layers. Guided with the sensitivity of a librarian who knows exactly which book your soul needs at that moment.
Their approach is difficult to put into words. It is soft and powerful, subtle and profound. The sessions before and after the visit to the temples offered space to sink, to feel and to process, but also to let go, to liberate and to anchor in yourself. Brian and Esther create a foundation in which you are invited to embrace your pain points instead of running away from them.
Without perhaps realizing it yourself, they activate the alchemy within yourself along the way. Silent, intense moments arise in which you feel inner doors opening. As if something in you remembers who you really are. It is a tasting of what can arise in you when you let yourself be touched by the land, the energy and their inspired presence. I am so grateful for this journey and for the group in which we have carried, mirrored and strengthened each other with an open heart, gentleness and courage. We help each other grow, often without words.
Warm greetings,
Jurgen

Lead Facilitator - Esther Geskus
Esther is a passionate facilitator, coach and trainer who guides people in connecting with their authentic core, body, emotions and life energy. With a deep love for holistic transformation work and a passion for tantra, Esther creates safe and powerful spaces in which participants can experience their “spark” again.
Her own journey of self-love and consciousness expansion has inspired her to integrate transformational work on all levels: physical, mental, emotional, energetic and spiritual. This work focuses on releasing traumas and blockages, allowing people to feel freer and happier. Tantra plays a central role in this. For Esther, tantra means not only liberation and expansion, but also embodied spirituality – a deep connection with the body, emotions and the flow of life energy.
Her mission is to support people in regaining their balance, life energy and self-love, so that they can embrace life with self-confidence, strength and joy and inspire others.
